Author's Review

My wife and I are retired and need a comfortable dependable car that you can be proud to drive. We have found GM to be our favorite manufacturer over the years, so we looked at "The Line" and decided that the Eldorado Sports Coupe was the model that really turned us on. We looked at purchase plans and lease plans and chose the lease this time around.

To really dress the car out we chose a spoiler and landou top. A big plus was the fact that the car uses regular gas, which can reduce operating expense significantly during this oil price escalation.

There are now 5,000 miles on the car and we are completely satisfied in all respects. The ride is very smooth and the acceleration excellent. It is truly a sport couple as far as the feel on the road. It corners without diving and panic brakes without sway. Around town we are getting around 20 miles per gallon with regular. On long trips, the many seat adjustments including lumbar heat and support keep you comfortable. The driver has excellent visibility with the exception of the area to the sides of the rear window when backing out of a parking space, with vans on both sides (at the Mall).

The lease covers all maintenance and the dealer provides a rental Caddy when they are working on our car. We have had service on this and our previous caddy at two dealerships and we have nothing but good comments for the quality of work and the positive attitude of the service staff.

I have owned Ford, Audi, Oldsmobile, Buick, Chrysler and Plymouth cars over the years and my experience with caddy dealers is tops. At the other end of the spectrum is Chrysler. I had a new Chrysler convertible and the relationship with the dealer could be only be termed a mini war, which I think they won.
