Great Stove High Quality.
Date of Review: Jun 22, 2007
The Bottom Line: It has the capacity I was looking for. Camp Chef quality speaks volumes.
I bought this stove to replace my Camp Chef DJ-60LW Stove. I just needed something a bit bigger. Although the BTU output is the same, it is larger. The fabrication is cast iron on the grating, and the legs and windscreen are steel. The flame control is very good. The flame stays constant, even when the tank is getting low. Along with the stove, I bought a large steel griddle from Camp Chef. It is 31 inches wide, and it covers both burners. It is great for cooking pancakes, fajitas, burgers etc. for larger groups. I can also place two 20 quart stock pots on it, where I could not do that with my other stove. It was just too small. At 30,00 BTU per burner, it does well for cooking for larger groups. In 15 minutes I can boil a big pot of spaghetti. Try to do that with a 15,000 BTU Coleman or other stove. While not as attractive as the DJ-60LW, it is more practical for my needs. It is heavy, and so is the griddle. It had built in windscreens, and sets up in a snap. The legs just plug in. I have now used this on several trips, and it has done well. Once again, you cannot go wrong with a Camp Chef product. The quality is there, and I am sure it will provide for many years of service with no trouble. I am sold on Camp Chef products.
It would be a great addition if they could add an auto igniter, so you do not need a lighter.
