Powerful Imaging tool.

The Bottom Line: Its a bit expensive, but if you don't want to compromise on image quality, this is the one!
I bought a 5D because i tried one a few months ago, and haven't been able to use another DSLR since. IT feels amazing in your hands. Its solid, heavy, and feels robust.
The 5D is a very interesting camera. It looks unassuming, simple black, matte finish, a little beefier looking than most pro sumer DSLR's, like the Nikon D80 or Canon 40D. Everyone that sees it, Layman and Pro alike, take notice of it. They all seem initially perplexed. IT s big, but doesn't "look" like a full on Professional camera. However, it certainly performs like one. It has an amazing Full frame 36mm X 24mm CMOS sensor, which has a resolution of 12.8 Mega pixels. This is a nice high resolution, however, the real amazing part is not the resolution, its the benefits the large sensor, and therefore the larger pixels give you. There are 12 mega pixel consumer cameras. however their sensors are smaller, and there for the pixels are smaller. This means its light sensitivity, and over all quality of image suffer.
The 5D offers you extremely clean, grain free images, with a great ability to capture high contrast scenes.
The 5D takes beautiful images. The color, and "look" is in my opinion unique. Even some of my die hard nikon shooter friends, do take note on how organic and film like the 5D photos are.
The 5D's Images are on par with those from the latest crop of professional top of the line DSLR's. the main differences, and "shortcomings" of the 5D are more in its functionality in a professional environment. It does not have the fastest Cycle rate. The EOS Mark II can shoot 10 Frames per second. The 5D does 3. The EOSMArkIIS is nearly 20 mega pixels... The 5D is 12.8. It seems liek the 5D is placed more for the rabid amateur, Professional Fine art Photographer and beginner fashion professional.
Its an amazing camera that takes amazing pictures.
