Absolutely Excellent AIO

I agree completely with bariumbaby's enthusiastic review, and so won't duplicate those points. The MF4270 is extremely quiet, goes into power saving mode quickly, and comes out as soon as needed. It also starts print jobs with no delay, and prints rapidly. I did a network installation, and also had to assign a fixed IP address, contrary to the default installation program, but the upside was that I found Canon's Customer Support was terrific in helping me to do this, and stayed with me until I got it right. The Remote User Interface, which you get with a network installation, is wonderful and much easier to use than the menus and buttons on the printer itself: it also makes assigning a fixed IP address much easier. The MF4270 works perfectly with Vista as well. Kudos to Canon, I'm delighted.
