Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM: Great investment.

Date of Review:  Oct 1, 2007
The Bottom Line: A great universal lens for both APS-C and Full Frame (35mm). There are faster lenses, but this one offers great performance for a somewhat moderate price.
Review: It's been over two years that my trusted EF-S 17-85 mm took the role of the universal lens and has been only recently deemed inadequate. The changing event was my upgrade from a 8 MPx camera (20D) to a 10 MPx camera (EOS 40D). Granted, the increase...

The perfect lens for the canon Eos 5D

Date of Review:  Dec 31, 2006
The Bottom Line: Recommend strongly for Canon EOS full frame cameras. Perfect combo for the EOS 5D. Fast autofocus, effective image stabilization, and superb image quality.
Review: I few months ago I purchased a Canon Eos 5D. This extraordinary camera has a full frame 24x36mm sensor. I had been using film exclusively until then.

With film, I was very much a wide-angle type, generally I had a 28mm lens on my film...

Highly versatile L-lens

Date of Review:  Oct 15, 2005
The Bottom Line: Great Canon lens at a price.
Review: Canon has been an industry leader in digital photography, and this has mainly been because of the number and quality of lenses which are available. I will admit that the first lens I purchased for my EOS-10D was a Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 DI which...

Perfect walk-around lens

Date of Review:  Jun 12, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is a great quality lens that will last you. Great zoom range and great optics.
Review: I own this lens, and it's perfect for my Canon EOS 5D. This lens has a great range for a standard walk-around lens. Even with a crop factor camera the range is pretty good, just a little more telephoto.
On the wide end, there is some...

Great Multi-Purpose Lens!

Date of Review:  Nov 13, 2008
Review: This was my first "L" lens. I bought it to replace my 5 year old Canon 28-135 which was first generation IS and starting to get noisy and vibrate.
The 24-105 seems to be a winner so far. There's a reason this optic costs $1000+ as opposed to the...

Canon 24-105L

Date of Review:  Jun 8, 2006
Review: This is really a fine lens among zooms in spite of its high distorsion. The latter has a relatively favourable pattern and is correctible with Photoshop. There is no DxO plug-in as yet. The sweet spot is near 50mm as one may expect.

There...
