Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera with 28-135mm lens

Hello,
I bought last month a kit canon 40D with an objective 17 85 IS. From the beginning, it posted error 99 problems of battery. I could take photos, but I had to every time remove and put back  the battery.
I thus sent back  the camera and the site from which I bought it paid off it to me.

I like very much this device when it works. Honestly, be that you met this kind of error with Nikon D200 or D300.
