I'm digital, and I'm not looking back!

Date of Review:  Apr 24, 2004
The Bottom Line: Look at the reviews. Now is the time to jump to digital. You won't be sorry.
Review: Like everybody else, I've been waiting ten years for digital to reach the same level of quality as 35mm without mortgaging my house to buy into it. My ultimate goal is to get magazine work, and I wasn't even sure if my 35mm was up to the task.

Point and Shoot Ease meets SLR Flexibility

Date of Review:  Jan 17, 2005
The Bottom Line: I don't think you can go wrong with this camera. Advanced users will love it's flexibility while novice users will have no problem taking great pictures.
Review: I recently purchased the Digital Rebel 300D w/EF-S 18-55mm lens kit as my first Digital SLR. Prior to this purchase we had been using a 2MP Kodak Easy Share digital and my old AE-1 Manual Focus Canon 35mm SLR. The Digital Rebel has become an...

Great Camera!!

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2003
The Bottom Line: A must have!
Review: First of all this camera's price point marks a first in the digital SLR field. I would recommend this camera for someone that is tired of missing shots waiting for your CCD based digital camera to recycle. The cycle time with flash is at the most...

EOS shines, but maybe not for long..GOT FIXED!

Date of Review:  Jun 21, 2004
The Bottom Line: Get your snapshot on and shoot away like a banshee with this bad bear; learning to use this is like photography 101; excellent.
Review: I am an amateur photographer, and I decided to blow $1,100 US on a EOS digital rebel kit, and I love it more than i don't like it. I will explain.

First I think there is a tendency to fall in love with a camera one just bought. I have had...

Excellent Entry-Level dSLR--High end Prosumer Cams Now Obselete

Date of Review:  Jul 17, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you have $800 to a grand to spend, go with the Digital Rebel. No prosumer can match it's image quality.
Review: I had purchased an Olympus c8080 before I discovered the Canon Digital Rebel. Upon further research I switched. Image quality on the Digital Rebel is without a doubt the best you can find for less than a grand (or $800 if you bought it online as I...

Most reliable camera I have ever owned

Date of Review:  Feb 16, 2008
The Bottom Line: Buy this camera or any in the Rebel family as you will not be dissatisfied.
Review: I bought my Digital Rebel about a year and a half ago. I have gone through about 3 different digital cameras in the past few years and was never really please with their performance. I need a digital camera for work because I am taking about 100 to...

I love this camera!

Date of Review:  Jun 8, 2004
The Bottom Line: The Rebel combines everything I love about my Canon Elan with the instant gratification of digital (and uses my EOS lenses). The detail in my pictures is incredible.
Review: I just bought the Digital Rebel. My previous camera is the first Nikon Coolpix and I wasn't sure I could love a camera more. But the first picture I uploaded to Photoshop Elements was of my cat and I zoomed in so close I could see the hair follicles...

Great Camera For the Short Term

Date of Review:  Jun 27, 2007

The secret advantage of the Digital Rebel

Date of Review:  Jun 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: A higher percentage of your photos will turn out well compared to all-in-one CCD cameras with more resolution.
Review: Before you are tempted by the new slick 8 megapixel all-in-one compact digitals that have zooooooooom lenses, consider this: The Rebel uses a CMOS sensor, not a CCD. Most others use a Sony 8 mp CCD--the best of which may be the Olympus. However,...

Think about it before you purchase this camera

Date of Review:  Oct 22, 2003
The Bottom Line: I would avaid this camera if at all possible. I'd rather have a reliable point-n-click than an unreliable slr.
Review: I purchased this camera a few days ago with the EF-S kit lens. I wish I had read a review like the one I'm posting now before I made the purchase. I took about 30 shots and then received an err 99 message on the LCD. The error 99 message locked the...
