Author's Review

I have had this camera for about 5 months now, and I absolutely love it. I had been looking for a digital camera that was small enough to put into my purse, and this camera is about the size of my wallet. Although it is only 3.2 mega pixels, the quality of the pictures come out excellent. It is small, portable and sleek.

The LCD screen is clear so even though it's on the smaller side, it's very easy to see the pictures you take. You can zoom in on the pictures and you can get thumbnails of all the pictures on the LCD screen

There is a speaker so you can hear the movies you make, and the sound is pretty clear. You can't adjust the volume though. When you do take movies, you can't adjust the zoom, but the quality it pretty good, and the microphone is strong enough to pick up all the sound.

There are two picture taking options, an automatic option where everything is at a default setting and there is a manual setting where you can adjust color, resolution, and some flash options.

There are different options to change the lighting, such as red eye reduction, if there is a backlight, if you want to turn off the flash or have it automatic. A lot of the times, I don't even use the flash if I'm taking pictures up close because it's pretty bright.

You can adjust the color depending on the look you want, such as vivid, neutral, sephia and black and white. You can adjust the resolution depending on how clear you want the picture. The picture with the best resolution takes up about 1.5 mb.

The battery charges pretty fast, and so far it's lasted quite a while. I recently went to Asia for a week, and I didn't have to charge the battery once, even though I was constantly turning the camera on and off. You might want to get a spare though, as the battery gets older the life might decreases. I haven't had it long enough to know for sure.

The lens on this camera is top quality, and I have been very very pleased with the quality of my pictures.

It also is very easy to download the pictures onto your computer using a USB port, and the program that comes with the camera saves the pictures in folders labeled by date.

The only thing that I have a hard time with is turning the camera on, because you have to hold the on/off button a couple seconds and I get impatient because sometimes I can't get it to turn on right away. Also the zoom can be on the weak side because it's only a 2x. You'll also want to purchase a bigger memory card because the one that comes with it is only 16mb. I got a 256 mb one and haven't had any problems with pictures.

Other than that, I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a practical yet fun camera.
