Best solution for a tight budget

The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend the Aveo for those who want a lot of car for little money. Be forewarned, though: the extras can jack up the price.
We did online research and found this exact car at a local dealership so we knew up front what was available. We owe a lot to the dealership for getting us in a car--our credit ain't the best. But they probably wanted to get rid of the vehicle: it's the special value version with no airconditioning. The only time that's bothersome is when it's very hot. There's good air circulation in the car so it's not as bad as it could be.
The car itself is great. It is a lot roomier inside than it looks like it would be. We ran around for a month last summer with five adults in it and it was only a little close in the back. Decent storage considering the size of the car. Gas mileage is great: at least 30 mpg even in the city. We got the car just in time, too--right before the gas prices went up last year. Surprisingly enough, this car has decent pickup (this is a manual, so it's slowed down some by my gear-shifting) and it can get up to 80 mph no problem. It's also easy to figure out how to use all the buttons and whistles (okay, no whistles). Starts easily and it's not at all noisy. Great maneuverability.
