Practical Purchase

Recommended. We bought a Graco Travel System for walks and serious outings, but wanted something lightweight and compact for quick trips and traveling (particularly by air). Although the Maclaren strollers were highly recommended, I couldn't fathom spending that much money on a stroller that would be subject to the abuses of an airline baggage handler. After several trips across the country - I'm happy with the stroller. We have it in red and it looks great.

The lightly padded seat seems to be comfortable for my 8 month old and the canopy provides reasonable shade. It is fairly easy to collapse - although if you're holding a baby in one arm and closing it one-handed, you do have to collapse it to the ground and do a bit of a balancing act to lock it and pick it up.

The negatives... The biggest gripe I have with this one is that the leg span is too short. My husband and I are of average height and can't help but kick the stroller wheels when pushing it. I think the problem could be solved if the handles could extend another 3 inches or so. In spite of this, the stroller is a bit long when collapsed so it makes trunk storage a bit harder than necessary, although not impossible. Again, if the handles were telescoping and could be retracted a few inches, then the problem would be solved and it would be perfect. Finally, the 5-point harness is great. It may be a quirk with my particular stroller, but the buckles are rather difficult to use. They are stiff and hard to snap and release (many a finger (always mine) have been pinched in the early days).

All in all, I would buy this stroller again and hopefully Chicco will make a few adjustments to it before we need a new one.
