Chuck Taylor

I purchased these as a birthday presant for my husband. We were actually shopping together and they caught his eye. We both remembered the converse from growing up and bought them out of nostalgia. We even took out his high school year book and found kids wearing converse on every page! You were considered "cool" if you owned a pair and "rich" if you owned more than one pair!

He could not wait to wear them. The next day we went to a local car show. People stopped him to comment on his shoes. "I remember when..." they would say. I noticed that he wore them only a few times and asked him why. His reply was that they were extremely flat, had no arch support, and made his feet tired and achy. He says, "Now I remember why I stopped wearing them in the 70's." I wonder if all those guys from the car show went out and bought themselves the Chuck Taylor Ox!? No doubt their feet are killing them!

So there they sit, next to the dog food in the mud room, collecting dust. I guess I need to give them to charity, but passing on shoes that hurt your feet is not very charitible!
