Not Recommended

I bought this product for my 5 year old grandson so he can use on the long car trips to his other grandparents house, the product worked great for 6 months, then the DVD reader stopped working, the games work fine. So If you don't mind losing the player and keeping the games go for it. I've found so many similar complaints doing a search on the Internet for this product. My rating is the product is very poor the warranty is not all that since you would have to shell out more cash to send and receive the product and then continue with the previous warranty. So if you have 2 weeks left on your warranty your stuck with an unhappy child.

I contacted the company I purchased the item from and was told I had to contact the manufacturer. Once I contacted the company through an email I received a confirmation but no one got back to me as stated in the reply I received, I tried contacting the company by phone but the number I received was not working at the time.

I downloaded the manual to see if something could be done by reading the trouble-shooting advice, but that was to no avail. After all this I purchased a cheap 7" DVD player from my local pharmacy and that one works great, the reason why the COBY DVD had called my attention was because of the games and DVD combination, but now since only the game part works I settled for the new player I purchased and a Nintendo DS which I can purchase more games for. Although my grandson now has to carry the two items and the new DVD player is slightly larger, it works for me especially since they do sell movie length cartridges for the Nintendo DS
