Wonderful seat for the price!!

We moved our daughter to this convertible seat at 8 months, and it's proven itself ever since! We simply couldn't afford the "higher end" seats like a Britax or Radian, and found an amazing deal on this seat at Shopko- only $28! (regularly around $40- still a great prices!) I've since seen the seat compared to Britax convertibles numerous times, and it's always considered as "the low cost alternative to a Britax seat" when considering safety.

It installs incredibly easy in our Toyota Camry. I can get a tight, sturdy install every time I put it in (and no matter what vehicle). When we used it rear facing we did have to use a carseat "noodle" under it to put it at the correct recline, but apparently that's just dependent on the type of car it's in, not the carseat itself. We have never had problems with the straps twisting like I commoning hear about, and they're very easy to tighten/loosen when needed. They're also easy to adjust.

Another great feature about the seat is that it's so lightweight. We've packed it from car to car and through airports and honestly, it doesn't weigh much at all. It comes with a cupholder but we've never used it, although I may get it out because now my daughter prefers to have her sippy cup easily accessible to her so that would be convenient.

I've also "practice" installed our new infant carseat for our baby who's coming this spring, and I was surprised at how wonderfully they fit side by side. The infant seat is a Graco SafeSeat and is one of the larger seats on the market, so I was concerned about it squishing against the Cosco convertible seat when I put them beside each other. Surprisingly, the barely even touch, making it much easier to access the seatbelt latches. So it's definitely one of the smaller convertible seats available- narrower than many and definitely not bulky. It's very simple, which while that may mean it's not as cute as some others, it most certainly meets high standards, especially for an inexpensive seat!
