They Stand Behind It

I read several poor reviews of Cuisinart customer service. My machine stopped working a few days ago. I knew there was a 3 year warranty but had no proof of purchase. I called Cuisinart and she asked my serial number. She said the number showed the unit to be under warranty and I should return it with $10 for s&h and they would send another one. I sent the unit and the next day, obviously before they got mine back, a new machine was at my door. It also appears to be new, unlike the refurbs you normally get on warranty exchange from some companies. I was amazed by how they handled my complaint.

So far as they way it brews coffee, I'm not a coffee guru but do like a good cup. I mail order beans from several places and use a Solis Maestro burr grinder. The coffee not sitting on a hotplate does help keep it from becoming bitter over a few hours. The only complaint I have with the unit is it is a little difficult to pour in the water. The reservoir filler is small and in the corner. There is no carafe to use (naturally) and a measuring cup tends to dribble. What I found works well is a fairly wide mouth iced tea bottle, like Arizona. It means emptying the bottle in two or three times, but it's neat.
