Nummy Nummy For Your Tummy
Date of Review: Oct 21, 2000
The Bottom Line: Give this a try if you like something that is good enough to pour over ice cream and makes a great mixed drink.
One year when I was in Reno, I went to a liquor store there to pick up some liquor to bring back home. In Oregon you have to go to the liquor store to get anything with alcohol in it. Except for the wines and coolers and beers that have a lower alcohol content in them.
They have a warehouse in Reno that is full of every alcoholic beverage that you can imagine. I don?t even remember what I was looking for, probably rum or something simple like that. The clerk had a bottle of this Butterscotch drink on the counter and little cups. He said I could have a sample of it. I thought that it was an interesting combination to mix butterscotch with alcohol. So I took a sip of the Butterscotch in the little cup.
It tasted so good, and I bought three bottles of it, One for me, and the other two for family members. The salesman said that you could pour it over ice cream or mix it in cream and it was good that way too. And he was right. It is. I have mixed it in cream and coffee and have made milk shakes with this. It is so good,
Since I don?t like anything that tastes alcoholic and I am not a big drinker, I usually save this for when friends come over. Unless you drank a lot of this, I don?t think that you would get tipsy. Probably if you just took the bottle and guzzled it you would. It is way too sweet for that.
This is a great drink for parties and reunion with your friends. It even smells good.
At Christmas time, I have taken this and added it to chocolate and coffee. It tastes just as good warm as it does cold.
If you are looking for a drink for your friends, who do not like the taste of alcohol and one with low alcohol content this is a good one to try. I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes a sweet drink. It would not be good for people that do not like the taste of butterscotch.
