A solid PC for a solid price.

I would consider myself a very experienced and technically knowledgeable PC user. I bought this machine because I wanted a desktop for college, and I also needed to replace my older gaming PC. However, I chose this one in particular because the price was unbeatable. Even if I were to build a new machine myself, it would still cost less to buy this model from Dell. The 4GB of 800mhz DDR RAM ensures that I can run many programs at once-- even those that are CPU-intensive. The powerful quad-core processor makes games run very smoothly. The 500GB hard drive space gives me ample room for music, games, and movies. Either as a media center or as a main functional computer, the Inspiron 530 is extremely useful. The case is sealed with a thumbscrew assembly (meaning no tools are required), so upgrading is a breeze. Complimenting this is a tidy organization of cables and components on the inside of the case. The case itself is small yet sturdy, and is easy to move from one place to another.

My only gripes with this product are that it didn't come with onboard Firewire, and that the front bezel seems to be a bit flimsy.
