'01 quad cab SLT
Date of Review: Jun 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you like trucks but think you need a "family sized" car, get the quad cab.
This is the best truck I have ever owned. I went truck hunting because I wanted the capability for towing and the addition space the bed of a truck offers. I knew I had to have at least an extended cab. I went into the Dodge dealership and saw the quad cab and knew I was impressed with the look of the truck. I drove models with both of the V-8 engines and thought the 5.9L V-8 to be the superior performer of the two for the power offered and the towing capabilities. I recently returned from a ~1000 mile road trip and this truck rides as well as the car ('99 Olds Aurora) I traded in on it. I have no gripes with the interior (SLT package w/ premium sound). The headroom in the front is great and the leg room in the rear seats are more than what I've had in my previous cars. My only con about the truck is the gas mileage - but if I was too concerned about that I would have gotten a small car.
