Hopkin's Finest Hour

A movie that had me from the beginning. Sir Anthony Hopkins was brilliant.

To say that this is my favorite Anthony Hopkins film isn't easy, due to the almost legendary body of work this actor's actor has accumulated in his remarkable career. And yet, to me personally, this is his finest hour.

What can't this gentleman do? He can portray a crazed cannibal killer or love interest equally well. Yet it is in The Edge, the borderline genius multi-millionaire character he portrays that simply overwhelms me. The intelligence, the command of the situation , the change which takes place in his character, stands alone highlighted in it's execution.

I could not have attempted to save the life of the man who tried to kill me. I could not have elevated to such a humane human level. And I certainly could not have been as courageous and brave in confronting that ravenous almost monster like bear.

I never refuse an oppurtunity to watch Sir Anthony Hopkins in this film. He is, without a doubt, remarkable. Utterly, completely, deservingly remarkable.
