Was she too fat???
Date of Review: Jun 6, 2000
I bought this to carry my daughter around during the Flower Show. My husband and I tried to squeeze her 15 lb body into it. (It should hold up to 26 lbs) She went in very easy. It is connected on one side and there is a fastener on the other. The pads are full and comfortable. There is a head piece that can be used when the baby has no head control and can be removed when she does.
The bad part was she has a larger frame and we but we couldn't close it. I thought we were doing something wrong. I re-read the instructions to see if we could expand the belt around her tummy. We needed more room! We found that she could hang with us only by us holding our hand on the side that wouldn't fasten. Not to safe.
I decided to call Evenflo to report the problem. The customer service rep said that she would send the UPS truck to pick up my Snugli, and refund me $40 upon her receipt of it. I asked her if they have gotten similar complaints. She said yes because they re-designed this Snugli last year. I said I was relieved because I was getting a complex that my daughter was too big/fat to fit in it.
I was VERY happy with the customer service, but sad that my daughter wouldn't fit in it. The two times we carried her, it was very comfortable. I was sad to see it go, but look forward to Evenflo re-designing this product in the future.
