Author's Review

I am a huge fan of Neosporin First Aid Antibiotic ointment.  I think every first aid kit should have this wonderful ointment.
I apply Neosporin all the time to myself.  It helps with scarring, which I think is wonderful.  If I apply it everytime I have a cut so scarring is minimized.
Neosporin kills bacteria that is harmful to any cut that I may have.  It is suitable for everyone in your family to use as well, and is not harmful.   Just make sure not to touch the tip of the tube to the injury or you may contaminate it. Do not get in the eye or eyelid either.   You do not need a prescription for Neosporin and is easily found at Wal-mart, Target, convience and drug stores.  A tube set me back around $5.
There are three different antibiotics in Neosporin:  neomycin, bacitracin, and Polymix B.  The three together target bacteria and kill it fast so it can not attack your cut futher, thus leading to faster recovery time.  You may apply it every 3 to 4 hours up to 10 days.  Side effects include itching and swelling.  If there is pain when applied use should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
