Piece of Junk!!
Date of Review: Nov 1, 2000
I am a courier and my company bought me this vehicle for everyday use. I needed a van to carry cargo from job to job. At first it was a decent vehicle except for the fact that I felt like a family man and I am far from that at this stage in my life. I liked the fact that it had enough power for a van but not too much.
Now for the bad part, I only had this van for a year and a half and one day while making a delivery the transmission decided to fall apart and leaving me stranded in the ghetto. Needless to say I wasn't very happy with my Windstar at that point. But wait there's more the Ford Motor Company doesn't seem to feel they have an obligation to put a warranty for more then 6 months on the transmission for some odd reason. Actually what I think happened was they decided that two years down the road you would have to get it fixed and pay them another $3,000 plus dollars for them to fix it. After all of this I don't think I will ever purchase a North American vehicle as long as I live. So I don't think that anyone should purchase the FORD WINDSTAR. Thank You.
