Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB 22" Monitor
Date of Review: Jan 7, 2005
Just a quick review after 1 day of use...
Extremely easy to set up with a download of NaviSet software from NEC-Mitsubishi web site. This allows a great many geometry adjustments, along with color and white point. I adjusted the viewable area to full-width & height, and still got an almost perfect geometry right out to all four corners.
Color reproduction from my digital pictures seems very good, and very saturated if the source is that way.
Contrast seems a little low in the normal mode, compared to a 4-year-old Dell P780 17" Trinitron. (That's at 100% contrast, and brightness adjusted as high as possible without bringing the blacks up into grey).
At 1600 x 1200, text is not quite as sharp as the Dell, but sharper than anything I've seen elsewhere. I am web-surfing at that resolution, and am comfortable with the sharpness. I suffer eye fatigue very quickly on lesser monitors.
I am running a Matrox Millenium G450, which is rated as extremely good for 2D display such as text...
