Attractive, small camera... mediocre pic quality

Pros: I got it for a good price which softens the sting...

Cons: bum lens and internal processing

Got this camera for my father-in-law for Christmas. Played with it myself to make sure it works.

The camera is cute as a button but be sure to get >2600 mAH NIMh rechargeables as it burns through two AAs pretty quickly.

Inside shots are okay without flash... adequate low-light performance... what you'd expect.

Outside shots are disappointing. Major chromatic abberations show up near white, contrasty objects. The sensor is slow at ISO 100 and leads to shaky pics even in bright sunshine with the mediocre lens. The JPG compression is a bit high and turns a contrasty leafless tree into mush.
