Didn't last very long
Date of Review: Dec 20, 2005
The Bottom Line: Buy it, splurge for the extended warranty, and enjoy!!
I have owned this camera for about two months now, and have taken a few hundred pictures with it.
Like other reviewers, I found the shutter lag was a bit of a pain, but you get used to it quickly.
I also found that this camera eats batteries, but I haven't heard of a digital camera that doesn't. We went to a local superstore and bought some rechargeable batteries, which have proven to last just as long, at a much lower cost.
The pictures have been amazing! This is my first digital camera, and my husband and I have been very impressed with the quality of the pictures, as well as the color. The 6x optical zoom has proven to be all we hoped it would be - the detail and clarity in these pictures have been outstanding.
The software that came with the camera has also proven easy to use, as well as fun.
The downside..... I turned the camera on this morning and got a 'zoom error' message, and the lens would not move or zoom, and I no longer have the ability to take any pictures. Naturally, this happened right after the 90 day warranty ended. My advice: Pay the extra for an extended warranty. It may very well prove worth it!
