Overall a decent dryer

I have had this dryer for 1 month. After 11 years, my Whirlpool dryer broke. I was looking for a dryer only so did not care about matching to my washing machine. When the washing machine breaks I'll go high efficiency. For the dryer, as long as it does the job, I didn't care.

I bought this dryer mainly because it was large capacity and because the door is reversible. Reviews on the internet were mixed, so went to Home Depot to touch the buttons on all the models myself.

This dryer dries a full load of towels in 1 cycle. Nothing has gotten ruined in the dryer, and nothing tangled up.

This dryer is quiet compared to my old dryer, but that was 11 years old- maybe all of them are quieter now. My kids sleep next to the laundry room, and the noise has not been a problem. The timing beeper is quiet, even standing just outside the laundry room door the beep is quiet.

I really only use one setting. We live in a tropical climate so we have light weight clothes, and not many delicates. I can hang what can't go in the dryer. But, bathing suits have gone through the regular cycle, and they've come out fine.

The problems: My dryer before had a pull down door. That was nice so that when loading and unloading the clothes don't mistakenly fall on the floor.
My biggest problem is the lint collector. I love that it's in the front of the dryer, and I don't have to pull the lint trap out. But, it's too small. EVERY time I open the dryer door, a snake of lint comes out at me, and the lint is stuck on the inside of the dryer door. I have to sweep my hands on the inside of the dryer door every time. My clothes do not have lint on them, but I do have to pick up the lint snakes off the clothes closest to the door before I take everything out. I clean the lint trap every time, and it's not sealed well in the dryer so I have to stick my fingers around it as well to get out the lint. It's not a monumental problem, but I feel that for the money, I shouldn't have this problem. I'm sure I will need to clean the inside of the dryer (Not the drum) often for lint.
Lastly, the door is a little flimsy feeling. Like if I press down on it too hard, or my kids slam it or push down it that would snap off. When I close it, it wobbles as I close it, and I have to guide it closed. I can't just slam it.
Overall: I have been satisfied with this dryer. It dries my clothes in 1 cycle. That's my biggest priority. I wouldn't race out to buy it. I can't really compare with cheaper models, but it seems like I could have the same quality with a cheaper model.
