Ok, first let's look at the price. I paid $49 after taxes for this cute little gadget. Excellent price for a necessary item on a tight budget
Now, the packaging it came in. I was very pleased with how well it was packaged. The microwave was wrapped in plastic inside the styrofoam packing and the interior glass plate was very well secured inside the microwave.
Features? Well it has a handy little clock (believe it or not this is not standard on low priced microwaves) and has the little "handy" buttons of beverage, pizza, popcorn, potato, vegetable and reheat. Not that I use them, but apparently most people do and they are there.
Also has compu-defrost and that is quite handy and a turntable which is more or less indispensable in a microwave.
Now, one of the things I really liked was the power for the price. I have purchased small microwaves before and many of them take longer to cook anything than their larger cousins.
This is not the case with this microwave. I'm very pleased to report that standard cooktimes on the back of TV dinners work just perfect in this microwave.
Also, it runs pretty quiet - a boon for those who have to keep the volume on their TVs low.
But, on the downside. Your bigger TV dinners won't spin in the little compartment, but instead will knock the little glass plate from it's wheel making unpleasant thumping noises that can be quite alarming. However, if you read the size capacity on the box, you should be aware of this.
Also no "minute plus" button. I love the minute plus button. It feeds the laziness of my fingers. I got spoiled with it on my last microwave apparently.
Other than those two things, the microwave is marvelous.
It isn't really appropriate for families, because of it's size. For a single person or a couple, it's ideal. College students will find it delightful. People who only use their microwaves for reheating coffee or a danish will find it perfection.
