I have had this computer for over two years, and it has peformed greatly. My only complaint is that the DVD drive button is black and difficult to see against the black computer. I dotted it with Wite Out so I could see it more clearly.
The computer includes Windows Vista, which I am pleased with as well. Some people don't like Vista, but I don't have any problem with it.
The computer has so much memory, I haven't even filled 1/4 of it. Of course, I don't use the computer every day. I usually just play games on it.
When my daughter, an attorney, used her first Gateway, she recommended it so highly, that we bought our first Gateway. We had to go out of town to the Gateway store but we didn't care about the drive. Our daughter hadn't exaggerated. Gateways are dependable.
Now Gateways are available at retail stores.
We had other computers--HP and Compaq, and they did not perform like a Gateway. Of course, computers have improved since our first one, but we've learned a lesson not to buy anything but Gateways.
My daughter, the lawyer, recently bought a Dell laptop and she is sorry she didn't pay for a Gateway. She didn't learn the same lesson we did. She had to replace the hard drive in the Dell and she says that the next time, she's getting a Gateway.
