JUNK JUNK JUNK....

We bought a new Haier washer and separate dryer (the GDZ5-1). The washer drum never turned from day one. The clothes sat in water (not moving) for 3 hours, the drum would spin them dry and that was it. No washing of the clothes. Everything was still as dirty as when they went in. The dryer worked beautifully.....for 5 months. Then it stopped getting hot. We called Haier. They gave us the name of a local repair company since the dryer was still under warranty. We called them and they said they never heard of Haier and had no idea how to order parts for it. As it turns out, the thermal fuse blew. We were left searching online for a thermal fuse - very hard to find. We trashed the washer and bought a new Frigidaire front loader which we love! We're thinking of doing the same for the dryer - save your money and just buy a name brand to begin with - after all, you gets what you pay for!
