Next to the third and the sixth, this is the worst!!

I wish I could have a crack at making the next Halloween flick because I couldn't do any worse than this garbage. First let me say that I love the Halloween franchise (even though the first one was the only great one)and the Michael Myers character. I guess that is why it pains me to watch the producers allow this crap to erode the original's legacy.
I read somewhere that this is a "bridge" movie and that is completely true. This entry brings the fourth together with the sixth, but that does not mean this is a superior motion picture. This is actually a waste of the film that was used.
We see from the beginning how Michael Myers survives the fall down the mine shaft at the end of the fourth movie. From there, he just goes after his niece again, and while he's at it, he kills anyone who gets in his path.
The only difference this film holds over any other entry is the infamous and mysterious, "man dressed in black". We do not understand why this man is in town, but we discover during the retarded ending that he is on Michael Myers' side. We learn from the next Halloween movie (the sixth) that he never should have been put in the finished cut in the first place. This is due to the sixth one sucking (but that is another review).
The characters are unlikable and have no development, with the exception of Dr. Loomis and Jamie (her inability to speak gets annoying). You actually want them to meet their certain doom.
The dialogue is just plain stoopid and the story is about as deep as a kiddy pool. There is really nothing that saves this film from a complete bomb (there's not even any nudity!).
