okay, could easily be better
Pros:
includes alot of 70s songs
Cons:
many of the songs are filler and it's missing several key songs
The Bottom Line:
Not Recommended. There's too much filler and glaring omissions. Save some money by buying individual cheapo CDs having particular one-hit wonder songs you want.

Author's Review
This box set has a lot of 70s songs (from alot of one-hit wonders)!! They can be divided into the following categories:
(1)nostalgia classics "Horse With No Name", "Star Wars theme", "Dream Weaver", "Cat's In The Cradle"
(2)campy must-haves "Feelings", "Seasons In The Sun"
(3)mediocre or over-played songs "Long Train Running" by Doobie Bros. , (better would be "Black Water" or "It Keeps You Running"), "Wild World" "Joy To The World", "Maggie May", "Happy Anniversary" (better would be "Cool Change" or similar), "Lady" (better would be "Babe"), "Do You Feel Like We Do" (better would be "I'm In You")
(3)mis-hits/filler- flat-out bad songs that should be forgotten: "Bertha-Butt Boogie", "Happy Days", "Do It", "Hot Rod Lincoln", "Brick House", "Werewolves of London", "Kiss You All Over", "Ain't No Stoppin Us Now", "Don't Give Up On Us Baby", "Love Will Keep Us Together", "Love Machine", "Radar Love", "Making Our Dreams Come True"
What is really interesting is the songs that aren't included but should be included in a legit 70s nostalgia box set:
"Gypsies Tramps and Thieves" Cher
"Get Happy" Partridge Family
"Year Of The Cat" Al Stewart
"Spiders And Snakes" Jim Stafford
"Time In A Bottle" Jim Croce
"Beth" Kiss
"Tommy overture" the Who et. al.
"Wildfire" Michael Murphey
"The Hustle" Van McCoy
"Pina Colada" Rupert Holmes
"If" Bread
"Rise" Herb Alpert
"Warm Love" Van Morrison
If the filler was removed, these songs could easily be included. (Many of them are included on various Have A Nice Decade discs so licensing is mainly not an issue here.)
Thankfully, you can program the songs you want to hear which for me is about 5 songs (out of 20 to 24) per disc except for the 7th and final disc which has 2 or 3 okay songs. Also, note that the first 4-out-of-7 discs cover 1970-1974. Discs 5 and 6 cover 1975-1977. Disc 7 covering 1978-1979 is terrible. So the late 70s is basically not even represented.
