Tough as nails

I love this calculator. I bought it because I needed an expendable RPN calculator to carry in my shirt pocket. It doesn't measure up to my 48GX but then ,what does? I carried the 33S all year doing Asphalt work. I tried to be faithful in carrying it buttons out to keep the salt out of it but I know I messed up a few times. It got rained on I don't know how many times. Flew off of the truck seat as I dodged deer several times with manuals and such raining down on it. I dropped it at least three times and kicked it down the road once as I tried to soften the landing with my foot. The rubber material on the sides does do very well in keeping it in your pocket. It rocks on the desk now as I enter the numbers and has more than a few scars but still functions flawlessly. Since I bought it to carry in the field I wish it used AAA batteries but so far it hasn't needed any. I think the size is a perfect compromise. If the buttons were any bigger it wouldn't go in and out of a shirt pocket as well.I don't like the method of deleting the memory. I miss the big Stack of the 48. Better labels for the programs and variables would be nice but hey ITS NOT A 48 ! If my little boy throws it in the washer next Tuesday I'll be buying another shortly thereafter. I'll give it a while to dry out first though to make sure its dead.
