Not As Good As It Should Be

I have had my HP Deskjet 5650 for at least 2 years now and can say that it does have its pros and cons.

The printer does do some good printing but not as good as a Hewlett Packard Printer is supposed to do. A lot of times the printer kept resetting itself and now it has taken to crunching the paper before it goes through with printing the document. The rollers are apparently wearing out on this thing requiring the user to either pay for a costly repair or get a new printer. It also takes up a lot of room on the desktop which is also a drawback. The cover also has issues and seems to be pretty lose.

Documents that do print out come out pretty clear without a smearing of the ink. But because my printer has now taken to scrunching up the paper makes me wonder if HP still is the top printer now. It used to be that HP was the tops when it came to printing but now it seems that the printers they have now are not built as well as they should be.

I am now having to buy a new printer because of the problems with this one but up until recently when it started to scrunch up the paper during the printer process, makes me wonder if Lexmark or one of the other printers out there might have caught up to HP in the race. The other drawback is how much ink this printer uses. It seems that replacement will be often on the cartridges and they are indeed expensive. I'd look at other printers besides this one.
