Product Review

Another Testament to JEEP Superiority

by   jeepitalia ,   Feb 11, 2002

Pros:  Comfort, Room, Stereo, Engine, & Looks.

Cons:  Gas mileage

The Bottom Line:  I recommend the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee to anyone who is looking for a 1990's SUV that offers all of the advantages an SUV can offer over the average automobile.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars
Handling And Control: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

My 1996 Laredo was purchased (used) two years ago. With over a "whopping???" 83,000 miles now on it-it shows no signs whatsoever of physical or mechanical decay. It is the perfect combination of luxury sedan and/or off roader. Of course, nothing is perfect, and my only complaint is that my V8 has earned the nickname: "The Hog"-for its gas guzzling. However, with gas prices rather reasonable at present-who cares about its thirstiness? This vehicle responds like a limosine on the open highway, and its like a Hummer when taken off the road onto the wilderness. All controls are easily within reach, and little conveniences like self locking doors, and delayed interior light shut-off, are just a few of the advantages of this remarkable piece of fine machinery. It's a very close second to my wife(I hope she don't read this!)
