Wasn't even worth the effort

So I normally wear Focus Night & Day contact lenses. Then the other day when I went to my optometrist I was given a complimentary pair of Acuvue 2 contact lenses.

The lens felt very smooth on my finger tips and I noticed it had a light blue tint to it. I finally was able to put it on my fingertip, after quite a bit of difficulty as it wouldn't hold it's shape. I opened the pack this morning and rinsed the lens for my right eye like I always do and put it in. It burnt like no other contact lens had before. Even though I used the same solution as I always do and I rinsed it a thoroughly as I always do, it still burnt. I then inserted the lens in my left eye but after blinking a few times, had some difficulty getting it to move into place.

Once I thought it was fine I noticed my vision wasn't as clear as it should be. Somehow, the left lens had fallen out of my eye, and was no where on the lavatory or the floor surrounding the lavatory. I searched and felt for at least five minutes but could not find the other lens anywhere. I finally figured it wasn't worth the effort and simply took the right lens out of my eye and threw it in the trash.

It has been fifteen minutes since I removed the lens and my eyes are still stinging. I will never use Acuvue brand contact lenses.
