If you are a fan of epic stories, this is a movie for you. It has a deliberate pace that allows the viewer time to appreciate the nuances of the story, characters, and the Irony of the plot.

Take notes in your mind as you watch this of who each character is. This is a story about Feudal relationships
as well as the transformation of the main characters. The generals and their plans are a crucial element in
understanding what happens.

The scenery is beautiful and shows a exquisite attention to detail. The cinemetography is typical of Kurosawa's work, lush and vivid. The battle scenes are beautifully coreographed and suspenseful.
