Pros: no damage to cabinet, hidden lock

Cons: adhesive may not last, pricey

The Bottom Line: I would recommend these locks because of their adhesive feature & no outside hardware for kids to manipulate.

I just bought the Kidco Adhesive Mount Locks about 2 months ago at BabiesRUs. The set included 2 locks, a key & holder for $17.

I really like these locks. My 3rd child (a boy) is into everything! Even though my tupperware cabinet is harmless I was tired of the mess. My husband didn't want to put holes in the cabinets so I searched for a better solution & found these.

They are very simple to install. Similar to the TotLock there is a magnetic device that discreetly & cleanly locks the cabinet. To unlock, the key (magnet) is placed on the area outside the cabinet where the lock is. You can hear the lock click and then you are able to open the door.

What I love is that these are adhesive so there's no damage to the cabinet. I am constantly opening my cabinets daily & I haven't had any problems so far with it falling off or becoming loose. I don't use the key holder, I just keep my key on the outlet plate. The magnet works for doors up to 1 inch thick.

I do not have any negatives to say re: this product because it is working well and is keeping my sons hands out of my stuff! Im not sure how long the adhesive will hold up but I'm sure it could be replaced if needed.
