Great mixer for busy cooks

I got this classic stand mixer as a wedding gift ten years ago and it still works and looks like it is brand new. if you are a person who likes to cook or bake at all it is worth the investment in a quality product such as this. The power that this mixer has is incredible. I have rarely used a setting higher than 5 because even 2 or 3 is very very powerful. I love to mix up a cookie, bread, cake, or muffins and it is so easy to use this machine. I have the optional pouring shield...I throw in all my ingredients, turn it on for a couple of minutes and everything is so smoothly and evenly blended. It is noisy, but you would expect a powerful motor to be noisy. The three different beaters are great for any cooking project you might want to make. the only drawback to this mixer is that it really does take up a lot of room on your counter. It is hard to store, and if you do store it, it is so heavy that it is difficult to get out of the cabinet. I leave mine on my counter but it takes up a large portion of one of my counters. Overall it is a great machine.
