Not for Video...

I bought this product for my American Sign Language class.  I teach ASL in high school and am always in need of a good digital camera.  I used this camera weekly for both still pictures as well as video.  I bought this product for it's price (was on a limited budget).  I loved that the Kodack EasyShare C713 was small and easy to use.  It is also very easy to transfer the files from the device to a computer.  I primarily used this camera to film student projects.  My students are required to sign various projects and in order to have a record of their progress these projects are captured on film.  In the past I have used camcorders but found that the ease at which video can be taken with a digital cameras is much better, plus it allows me to transfer the files to a computer without a firewire.  The biggest downside to this camera was that it died.  I have used it so frequently the past year that it no longer will turn on.  It was used mostly for video which leads me to believe that this particular camera is not suited for video.  It took great pictures as well as great video...I must have worn it out.
