We bought this stroller for our 4 month old little boy. We got it in red, not the green pictured. I loved that both colors are great for a boy or a girl and the colors are so bright!
When we were looking at lightweight strollers, we were looking for something that
A) Would fit in the trunk of a Chrysler Sebring Convertible (My evenflo travel system doesn't)
B) Offered enough protection and deep enough recline for a infant
C) Was light and not difficult to fold and unfold.
I got all this and more with the contours lite!
It moves like a dream. You don't even have to shove this thing. It glides smoothly and it is attractive.
It has a roomy seat with 5 point restraint, that reclines generously. Recline works with a strap and while I am not used to that, I love it! It takes a split second to adjust and i think it gives us more freedom to recline or sit up at angles the normal bar recline would not allow. It offers plenty of protection on the side of baby so even a younger infant can be safe and comfortable. The restraints have removable pads to protect baby from the straps and the seat has a removable head pillow to protect babys tender head. The straps also work on a latch swivel system making it easy to fix the straps so the aren't twisted and uncomfortable for the child. It has a foot rest, but my son doesn't use it yet.
The canopy is generous, and secure when in place so wind won't push it back. While it does not protect baby fully, it protects him more than most of the travel systems do. The canopy does have a pocket on it to accommodate an ipod/mp3 player and a speaker came with it so all you have to do is hook the included speaker to the ipod/mp3 and play!
There are cup holders for mom and baby too! I did find that the tray for baby is a little high right now, but I plan on having this stroller even when Brandon is bigger (up to 45lbs I believe) and as he grows it will be perfect for him.
The basket is alright. I do wish it was a little deeper but it is supposed to be a lightweight stroller, and it is nearly impossible to find a stroller that carries everything I want to bring with me anyway! The nice thing about this basket is I can access it from the front and the back!
The stroller fold easily enough. You cannot do it with one hand but I would not want to anyway. I love that when I pull up on the red pull buttons located within easy reach on the handle bar, the stroller can be folded simply with a little down pressure. It can also be rolled upright, while folded, making it easy to put in the trunk. It fold a littl chunkier than I would have hoped but still it fits in my trunk and is so easy to use!
This stroller is so much better than a travel system! It is lightweight, attractive, easy to use, and has all the features i needed for a smaller baby. My husband is over 6 feet tall and he doesn't like that the handle bars don't adjust in height but for me and baby the stroller is simply perfect!
