Product Review

SUPER CONVENIENT STROLLER

by   kayswitlik ,   Jun 24, 2008

Pros:  - Interchangable frame for infant carseat. - Primary seat can face rearward or forward.

Cons:  - Primary (red) seat must be removed to completely collapse stroller for smaller vehicles.

The Bottom Line:  Interchangable frame takes most baby car seats. Primary seat can be forward and rearward facing. All the features of the more expensive models, durable fabric, easy to steer & fold.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

This stroller is GREAT for the price. It folds up easily & is considerably trendy looking for a stroller under $150. We find the folding mechanism easy, but it does require two hands. The fabric & seat material & suspension appears durable. We put about 2 miles on it a day over cobblestone, but we have only been using it for 6 months now. The stroller can be pushed comfortably with one hand & the foot pedal locks are adequate, but they were a bit difficult to unlock the first few times. The reason we decided to buy this product is we wanted a stroller that would carry an infant car seat, a rear facing baby, and later a forward facing baby / toddler in sitting up & laying down positions. This was one of the only strollers at this price point that offered all of this and an ample size basket. When our baby was first born we put the car seat on the car seat frame holder & it was terrific for airport travel. The car seat frame is small and makes it much lighter than the bulky Graco type options. Now that our infant is a bit bigger we mostly use the primary red seat rear facing seat, but I still switch back to the car seat holder (works with most brands of infant seats) when we are traveling. When he is older we will rotate the seat around to be forward facing. The basket under the seat is larger than most on the market. The child tray is nice and rotates out of the way for easy loading and unloading of the baby. The pushers cup holder is a bit hard to install and sticks out when folded, so we removed it thinking the airlines would break it off anyhow. The primary seat (i.e. the red seat, not the car seat frame) reclines easily via a pull strap design far enough back for comfortable infant sleeping. The sun canopy is large and provides ample shade. It is not the lightest weight model, but it handles / steers well. If you are constantly getting in and out of the car, then you should go with a simple umbrella stroller, as this is a bit bulky to be collapsing and lifting often. We mostly walk or take public transport so folding and lifting wasn't a big concern for us. Overall this is a definite BUY if you are in the market for a stroller that transitions from infant car seat to toddler.
