Great camera for the price, w/ lot of features!!

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a great picture-taking camera with the added ability to record to some video
Review: My sweetie backed over his last camera with the car, thus prompting our need for a new one.

It's been a year since we've purchased the LZ2 and we love it! It's like having a fancy camera and a camcorder -- in one small package! We've taken...

Great Camera for the "everyday" picture taker

Date of Review:  Jul 6, 2005
The Bottom Line: Perfect for the on the go and enthusiasts. You can not beat this camera with cameras twice the price.
Review: Small size, big features. I am not a Professional by any means when it comes to photography, but I do like to take pictures of family, Auctions, etc. This is my second digital camera. My first was a Canon A95. It took decent pictures but the battery...

The Best Camera

Date of Review:  Feb 15, 2007
Review: I've had this camera for six months and have used it several times a week since I bought it. The video is awesome. The anti-shake is awesome. This camera has no flaws. It's been dropped and mistreated but keeps on taking great pix!

Great 6x zoom; ISO 400 looks like oil painting, colors less pleasing than other brands

Date of Review:  May 8, 2005
The Bottom Line: OK travel camera, but default colors are too saturated, details obliterated at high ISO. Stabilization works less effectively than larger digicams. Sold it to get Ricoh Caplio R3.
Review: I wanted a pocketable camera with image stabilization and a lot of zoom, but this camera was slightly disappointing. While the 6x zoom is very nice, the image stabilization benefits are partly negated by the heavy noise reduction at higher ISO...

LOVE THIS THING!!!

Date of Review:  Feb 23, 2009
Review: I have owned not one but 2 of the EXACT same camera. I had my first for about a year and my toddler son dropped it. Bye bye lens. So I decided that I liked it SOOOOO much I had to buy the same thing again. 2 years later I am more than happy with it...

A happy compromise at a great price

Date of Review:  Nov 8, 2005
The Bottom Line: 6X zoom clearly beats what most others offer in this price range. A happy compromise that works very well for me.
Review: I can't begin to get into technical details...numbers... etc. That's best left to those who really know and understand those elements. I'm simply someone who wanted a reliable point & shoot digital camera with a zoom over 3X, but without the bulk of...

Not up to snuff!

Date of Review:  Nov 29, 2006
Review: Good value for the features at the time it was introduced, but I've seen better results.
Most shots have to be photo shopped to sharpen and lighten subjects.
Drains batteries quickly if left in in-between uses.

A Novice's Best friend - The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2

Date of Review:  Dec 28, 2006
The Bottom Line: This camera isn't the best out there on the market, but for the price, it sure is a great buy.
Review: I was very interested in how cameras work and in photography as a whole, so i decided to purchase one. I was very new to photography at the time, (i had only used throw-away cameras until then)and didn't have the largest budget out there. So after a...

Lumix performs admirably

Date of Review:  Feb 21, 2006
Review: Tried a Fuji entry level digital camera, but my wife and daughter had a terrible time getting clear shots in low light situations - I guess their hands just weren't steady enough. I took the Fuji back and got the Lumix DMC-LZ2, which was available...

6x opt zoom, 5 mp, WHAT COULD BE WRONG

Date of Review:  Jan 27, 2006
The Bottom Line: A tremendous product; combines mountains of features, best optical zoom in "compact" class, 5 mp resolution, and excellent price. Not great for video or art/professional photography.
Review: By the time you've gotten to this review, you have most likely discovered that this camera is a world class product combining the best zoom and resolution for under $200, along with extra features too numerous for anyone but Steve Jobs to fully...
