great upgrade from an inexpensive umbrella stroller

I purchased the Volo (in orange) as a lightweight stroller for travel. My son was 4 1/2 when we purchased it. Our regular stroller was a Peg Perego Pliko and I was looking for something a little easier to travel with now that my son was older. I didn't feel we needed all the comfort that the Pliko provides. I do think the Volo is expensive for what it is, it is essentially an umbrella stroller but I think it is better quality and you do get some nice upgrades. It has a sunshade, not terribly large, but better than none at all. It has 5 point harness, though I removed it since my son is older. There is a decent sized basket underneath. The heighth of the handles is higher and makes it more comfortable to push and the ergonomic angle is nicer too. We used the stroller for a vaction in Disney World and it's very easy to fold and is very lightweight. It comes with a shoulder strap so you can sling it across your back and have your hands free. This is a little awkward, but it's a nice option. The orange color was great. We were always able to find our stroller quickly in the stroller parking lots. There were lots of Mac's there, but no others in orange. Besides all of the above, it really does push nicely. I actually like how it rides better than my Pliko. (that model is about 3 years old, the new 2006 models push much better) If you can afford to splurge, I think this is a great lightweight stroller for an older child.
