Maximum Overdrive

Maximum Overdrive is directed by one of my favoritewriters, Stephen King.Now while I did not feel thiswas a great movie when we first rented, and watchedit, I felt it was mildly entertaining and did enjoythe movie.The idea of machines, cars, trucks taking over andtrapping human beings in a diner is a bit scarey.Though I never understand what caused the machinesto suddenly go beserk.The main characters in the filmdid a fine job.I have also loved to see Pat Hinglein films.The machines were the true stars of Maximum Overdrive.And the circus truck with the clown face, with itsalmost evil grin was a bit frightening.All in all thisis an o.k. movie, worth watching, worth perhaps rentingagain to view with friends on a rainy night.
