Pros:  Looks really good.

Cons:  Disposable item; Maytag's warranty doesn't cover transformers after 1 year.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

This microwave/hood worked very well for two years and then quit midstream during a reheating process. Unfortunately, Maytag's warranty doesn't cover transformers after one year, so I was terribly disappointed when I had to either a) fork over $200 for cost/labor of a new transformer or b) $300 for a new micro/hood, which was our choice (changed brands). The first customer service person I spoke with at Maytag tried to tell me that microwaves didn't have transformers. So when I called back with the part number (from my Maytag certified appliance repair person), the second customer service person told me that it had already been documented that I was told transformers weren't covered under the extended warranty. Interesting, since she didn't think it had a transformer.....
