The Adoration

It looks like we Miata owners adore our cars....so much that even though 20 other people told you how wonderful their cars are - here I am doing it too. I LOVE my car. My friend Dar call it a "Jelly bean" - she has a Mercedes SLK...but I'll bet I could beat her in the Dallas highway "mixmaster"!

My little baby has a superb paint job - it looks navy blue or hunter green depending on the angle of the light hitting it and it has a tan rag top and tan leather interior. It runs like a cheetah on steroids. And yes, it slides a bit in the rain, but I have pulled Max (that is my cars name - go ahead and laugh) out of some spins that bigger vehicles would have crashed from...or tipped over.

In Texas, my only big concern is the number of huge vehicles that cannot see me in the lanes on the highways. But I am very defensive when I drive and so far - so good. My little concern - the antenna keeps popping out of it's well. It always retracts but I am afraid it will get lost on the highway one day...or worse...scratch my paint!

The Miata has an excellent turn radius, and while it is small, okay - teensy weensy in terms of storage space - I have been able to get boxes of beer and more than 8 bags of groceries in it. The guys at the shop have to have me drive it into the garage bay for work because they don't fit in my car...but that's okay too...no oil or grease gets on my leather seats or steering wheel that way.
