Author's Review
I subscribe to about five different Motorcycle mags a month. MCN is one of them. It's really a good magazine, if written a little dryly. I like the content of this mag, especially the reviews of bikes and products, which is my main reason for subscribing here. The magazine is the most expensive M/C mag out there, between $25 and $41 per subscription, depending on how you subscribe to it. That's because they accept no ad content, and are supported solely by their subscriptions.
They're a little to intense with their conspiracy theories concerning the major manufacturers having the mags in their back pockets, so their rhetoric gets a little redundant. But their content is top notch. Recently they changed editors, I only hope they're not going to change editorial policy. I like the magazine the way it is. I hope they're not going to start writing articles on legislative issues, like the AMA's magazine, "American Motorcyclist" does, as I always simply leaf past that to the product reviews, which are the real important part of any Motorcycle magazine.
The one thing this mag seems to lack , is personality. That's probably my biggest complaint about it's very dryly written. That makes it boring at times. While their information is important, their writing style usually lets the mind wander while reading it.
