ripping off consumers

I had purchased this Honeywell electric floor heater at Ames department store and was disappointed in it. After the first couple of uses, it broke down and stopped working. We pressed the reset button but it still did not work. So, we took it back to Ames but since we did not have the receipt, we could only exchange it for the same brand heater.

Well, we brought the other home and plugged it in. It worked for a little longer before it also broke down. We couldn't take it back to the store again so we called the 800 number on the back of the box and complained to the company that 2 of their heaters were defective. They were considerate and courteous in helping with the problem. But, they said that since we did not purchase the heater directly from them, that they could only send us a replacement heater. We didn't want another of their heaters but have to send this one back by UPS for them to inspect. I feel they should be recalls.

The style is a nice looking one for the price. But, it does get costly. We paid $50.00 for it and feel that we did not get our moneys worth for it.

When you press the reset button, it still does not work the way it says it is supposed to work. The power light comes on and the heat doesn't throw off that good of heat.

I think these should be recall products and would advice consumers against purchasing this name brand heater. After going through two heaters in a one month period, it is not worth it.
