shot.....air ball
Pros:
graphics, 3-point shootout, gameplay options
Cons:
actual gameplay, lack of teams(allstar or superteams), season mode
The Bottom Line:
rent it, see if you like it before you buy, personally it has horrible gameplay, but some others don't seem to mind the slowness of the game. good luck

Author's Review
as i read from an earlier review on a gamecube game and i've come to really rely on with the new system, is that the games are either a hit or a miss. this game comes with a big air ball. it promises good graphics, and let me tell you the game delivers. it has outstanding looking players, courts, and setup. although, where the game really needs to be solid it comes up very very short. gameplay is horrible. you have to either play the game to understand, or have previously played nba2k1 or 2 from dreamcast. this is the best basketball game ever created(so far) and courtside beats it graphically but could take some cues from nba2k in the gameplay department. the actual game itself makes it hard to control your players, their movements are slow, jumping is horrible, and the dunks..haha. i will say, that they have some pretty interesting dunks, but in the first game i was playing ray allen threw himself a pass and dunked it(ala shawn kemp). this is not a move to put in the middle of a game. leave that for nba jam. it's almost impossible to miss a shot, seriously!!! my friend and i were so bored with the game, that we decided to see who could make the craziest shot. you make almost everything. the other objection that i had to the game was that it has no old teams. it has the west/east allstars, and that's it. i would hope that if you love sports games, check out madden or fifa, they hit, and hit big. but don't waste your money on this airball
