Nights in Rodanthe Review

by   tugna41 ,   Jul 31, 2003

Pros:  Intriguing, held my interest to the end, compelling plot, believable characters, striking twists.

Cons:  The only con I can think of is that it was depressing.

The Bottom Line:  It moves you in a way you never thought possible. Get your kleenexes out :).

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

This story is very well written. Not my favorite Nicholas Sparks book, but pretty close. I thoroughly enjoyed it to the end. It's about a middle aged divorced woman who finds the love of a lifetime (the kind we always dream about) in an uncanny way, which changes her life for the better. In the end she is able to use her rare experience to "save" the life of her crestfallen daughter. I am sure a lot of people would view this book as depressing and so they would steer clear of it or give it a bad review, but I disagree. Ya, it was depressing. Romeo and Juliet was depressing, but does that mean it wasn't an awesome story? Heck no! Nights in Rodanthe is very moving and touching - a book I highly recommend.
