Nimisha's Ship
Date of Review: Feb 13, 2001
The Bottom Line: Nimisha's Ship is a wonderfully written book. Anne McCaffery's use of strong female leads is as always extremely refreshing.
Anne McCaffery tells a wonderful story of a strong woman who uses all her skills to survive and be reunited with her daughter. The way in which both mother and daughter is portrayed shows a wonderful relationship that all mothers would love to have with their children. Her aliens are believable without being a rehash of other writers aliens. Over all this book is an enjoyment to read. Her use of the wormhole as a changing phenomena is a refreshing change from the usual. The way in which she blends her usual science fiction with just a touch of romance makes the story line proceeds in a rapid fashion without the usual fast touch and run used by some writers.
